EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm is one of those products that looks better than it performs. But I still have a thing for it.. Just look at it. Isn’t it cute?
But would I recommend it to someone else? Probably not… Here’s why:

What’s In EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm?
SUNFLOWER, COCONUT & JOJOBA OIL
EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm has an oil base. Sunflower, coconut and jojoba oils are all loaded with fatty acids that deeply moisturize the skin.
It works like this: fatty acid strengthen your skin’s protective barrier, so that moisture stays in. The more moisture your skin has, the smoother and softer it becomes.
Plus, a stronger protective barrier means less risk of irritation. With the extra help, your skin is better able to withstand harsh weather, powerful skincare actives, nasty germs and bacteria, and anything else that tries to hurt it.

WAXES
This lip balm also contains a big dollop of beeswax and carnauba wax. It’s what gives the lip balm its shape. Plus, they have emollient properties that make skin soft and smooth.
The Rest Of The Formula & Ingredients
NOTE: The colours indicate the effectiveness of an ingredient. It is ILLEGAL to put toxic and harmful ingredients in skincare products.
- Green: It’s effective, proven to work, and helps the product do the best possible job for your skin.
- Yellow: There’s not much proof it works (at least, yet).
- Red: What is this doing here?!
- Flavor (Aroma): This is simply fragrance. It makes the lip balm smell good, but it causes irritations and allergies in people with sensitive skin.
- Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter: A natural butter loaded with fatty acids to create a protective barrier on the skin that deeply moisturises it.
- Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil: Good old olive oil, it creates a protective barrier on the skin that holds moisture in and makes it softer and smoother for longer.
- Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Fruit Extract: It has powerful antioxidant properties and helps prevent wrinkles.
- Tocopherol: A form of antioxidant Vitamin E. Here, it has mild preservative properties and helps the formula last longer.
- Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf/Stem Extract: I’ve bene doing my research on it and I couldn’t find a single benefit for skin. I guess it’s here to add to the scent, but there really isn’t any info on this ingredient on benefits or side effects, so I’m giving it a yellow rating.
- Beta-Sitosterol: Derived from plants, it has moisturising and soothing properties.
- Squalene: It makes skin softer and smoother.
Texture
The texture is just right – no weird stickiness, no overly thick or greasy feel. It’s smooth, lightweight, and buttery without being too slippery. It glides on effortlessly, like a little hug for your lips, and doesn’t feel heavy or waxy. Perfect for layering or just a quick swipe when your lips need a boost!
Fragrance
It smells divine! Sweet, but not nauseatingly so. More than strawberry sorbet, it reminds me of the strawberry ice cream my mom used to buy me when I was little. Every time I use it, it takes me back to my childhood.
How To Use It
Apply it wherever you feel your lips need the extra moisture (hint: prepare to do it often).
Packaging
It’s pink! And shaped like an egg! Isn’t that absolutely adorable? Sure, it’s a little bulky, but it makes application a breeze, and fits nicely the contours of my lips.
Performance & Personal Opinion
EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm isn’t the most moisturizing lip balm I’ve ever tried. That’s an understatement. It barely moisturizes at all!
It leaves my lips soft and smooth, but only for a couple of hours. Then, it’s time to apply another layer. Janessa, the lovely lady who gave it to me, warned me about this so I can’t say that I was that disappointed about it.
My lips are in good condition anyway so this lip balm is moisturizing enough for me. But if yours are dry and chapped then you may have to apply it a lot more often. Better opt for something more hydrating instead!
Shame, cos I love the subtle shine it leaves behind.
What I Like About EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm
- Lightweight, smooth texture that glides smoothly on the lips
- Cute packaging
What I DON’T Like About EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm
- Not very moistruising
- Needs to be reapplied every couple of hours
- Bulky packaging for travelling
- Scent may irritate sensitive skin.
Who Should Use This?
Anyone whose lips are in good condition, but they still want to have some fun with lip balms.

This sounds awesome! And I’ve been looking for a new lip balm. 🙂
Trisha, it’s a lovely lip balm. And the scent is so delicious!
Aw, Gio! Thank you for mentioning me again. I love this scent too, it smells delicious!
:] Expect something within the next two weeks (considering how awfully long it took for my last package to arrive).
😀
Janessa, you’re welcome and thank you for sending it to me. Love the scent!
Aww thank you so much hun. You’re too good to me. 🙂 And yeah, the Italian postal service is very slow..
No, I bet the delays come from USPS! They’re so so slow and often ship items to the wrong location. Hopefully it arrives faster this time :].
USPS sounds very similar to our postal service lol! Oh well, as long as everything arrives safely, I don’t care about the delay… much. And thanks again hun. 🙂
Nice review!
Though aren’t a lot of lip balms not lasting, i need to touch up mine a lot of times through the day.
And i hope the scent is close to real strawberries, because there is this artificiell smell of strawberries that just smells plastic, but if you say it’s like sorbet, then maybe this one is good!!!!/Azure
Azure, this one doesn’t smell like plastic, at least not to me. It’s very sweet and delicious. 🙂
it looks really cute! but when it’s flat, you won’t be able to hold it and touch up perfectly anymore
Xin, that’s a good point. I think I’ll have to use a brush then…
The not moisturizing enough factor is why I haven’t bought one of these yet, since I have very dry lips. They’re adorable though, LIP BALM BALLS OMG. And the scent sounds so yummy
Makeup Morsels, the scent is divine! But if your lips are very dry, it won’t work well for you I’m afraid. 🙁
It looks so lovely! Luckily my lips are not very dry, I might give this lipbalm a try.
La Bisbetica, you might enjoy it then. It is a lovely lip balm indeed.
