I love the way false lashes make your eyes stand out, but I don’t have the patience to use them every day. Instead, I’m always on the lookout for a mascara that delivers that dramatic, “false lashes” look without the hassle.
It’s not an easy search. A lot of volumizing mascaras either don’t work, or add volume by clumping lashes together, or do work but are terribly expensive. *sighs*
I was about to give up hope, when I stumbled onto Pupa Vamp! Mascara. It’s my new HG. Here’s why:
What’s In Pupa Vamp! Mascara?
Like most mascaras, Pupa Vamp! Mascara is made up:
- Pigments: Iron oxides give it its intense black hue. Basically, these little guys are what make your lashes pop, coating them in that deep, jet-black shade that makes your eyes stand out. No dull, washed-out color here. Just pure drama.
- Waxes: Beeswax and ozokerite make it smudgeproof and waterproof. That means no raccoon eyes by noon, no streaky mess if you get caught in the rain, and no flaking all over your cheeks. These waxes help the mascara stick to your lashes while keeping them flexible, so you don’t get that stiff, crunchy feel.
- Glyceryl Stearate: It makes sure the mascara is easy to wash off. Because let’s be real. Nobody wants to spend 10 minutes scrubbing their lashes and losing half of them in the process. This ingredient helps break down the formula when it’s time to remove it, so you get all the wear without the hassle.
Colour
Pupa Vamp! Mascara comes in 7 shades, from the classic black, to a more softer brown for daytime wear to playful blue, green and purple hues that add a summery pop of colour to your look. I use the black variant. It’s a true and intense black.
Texture
Creamy and dense – just the right balance. It glides on smoothly, coating every lash without feeling heavy or clumpy. The formula has enough grip to build volume without making lashes stick together, and it stays flexible long enough for you to perfect your look before setting in place.
Pigmentation
Intense. Seriously intense. One coat is all you need for bold, jet-black lashes that instantly stand out. Staying Power
Once on, the mascara just doesn’t budge. It doesn’t flake nor smudge and stays put from morning till night.
Wand
It has an hourglass-shaped wand that makes application a breeze. The curves help grab every lash, coating them evenly from root to tip while adding volume and lift. Even the tiniest lashes don’t stand a chance of being missed. The tapered edges make it easy to reach the inner corners and lower lashes without smudging or clumping.

Pupa Vamp! Mascara comes in a shiny silver tube that’s ticker at the top and thinner at the bottom.
Performance & Personal Opinion
Pupa Vamp! Mascara has a creamy and dense formula that doesn’t weight lashes down.
One coat is enough to provide incredible length and quite a big of volume. The wand is also great at separating lashes.
As a result, lashes look defined, thicker and a lot longer. The mascara starts clumping a bit when you add a second coat but I rarely do that anyway as one is more than enough to give my lashes the dramatic look I want.
If my lashes look a bit clumped together in the swatch below, it’s not the mascara’s fault, but of my very poor skills at applying it. Still, in real life, they look well-defined and dramatic. In fact, I love the effect so much I can’t stop looking at them in the mirror lol.
FYI, don’t let all the blackness fool you. This mascara is super easy to remove. The only thing this mascara doesn’t do is curl lashes, but then it doesn’t promise to.
